VaShawn Mitchell & Donnie McClurkin on Uplifting New Song: You Will "See the Goodness"
The first new track from VaShawn Mitchell's next album, "See The Goodness," features Donnie McClurkin, a three-time Grammy winner in the field of gospel music. The seven-time winner of a Stellar Award, who is best known for the singles "Nobody Greater" and "Turning Around For Me," is informing her audience that "you haven't heard anything yet!"
You will see the goodness of the Lord while you live, Mitchell and McClurkin declare in this amazing statement of faith.
Mitchell claims that "when a person is waiting on God for their breakthrough, the weight of the wait sometimes gets hard and a person could think 'Is what I've been hoping God for still going to manifest, and if so, will I even be living to see it?'" I composed this song in order to reassure that person: "Yes, you can and yes, you will!" You're going to live until you see it, the song declares, because of this. Anybody who hears this song should therefore allow it to minister to them and to awaken their expectation of experiencing God's hand at work in their lives.
Mitchell responds to a question about working with McClurkin by saying, "Donnie has always been a terrific mentor to me and I've been waiting for the appropriate opportunity."
